"Today at 1:30pm at one famous Hotel (name withheld) in Msasani there was a robbery. A metallic silver sedan with a fin on the back with license plate T960BYN pulled up in the guest parking lot (outside the gate) and robbed a bag from a tourist getting into a minivan taxi. The driver snuck up, grabbed the bag from the shoulder and sped out of the parking lot onto Halle Sallasie. To their credit, the hotel management was great in calling the police and accompanying us to the police station to file the report and will be providing footage from their CCTV footage. They have since started using the outside gate to filter exiting traffic.
The first question the police asked was if they had a gun, as this particular vehicle has been doing this for quite some time.
A heads up that these incidents are happening in broad daylight. Beware."
